Frank Marino is a Canadian rock guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist, widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists of the 1970s and 1980s. Born on November 20, 1954, in Montreal, Canada, Marino developed a passion for music at an early age. Inspired by legendary guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter and John Cipollina. He began playing guitar in his early teens and quickly honed his skills, showcasing his extraordinary talent.

In 1969, Marino formed the band Mahogany Rush, which would become his primary musical outlet. Mahogany Rush gained popularity for their electrifying live performances and Marino’s exceptional guitar virtuosity. The band released their debut album, “Maxoom,” in 1972, which showcased Marino’s dynamic playing and his unique blend of blues, rock, and psychedelic elements. The album received critical acclaim and established Marino as a rising star in the rock music scene.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush released a string of successful albums, including “Child of the Novelty”, “Strange Universe,” “World Anthem,” and “What’s Next.” to name only a few. Marino’s guitar skills continued to captivate audiences, earning him a loyal fan base and widespread recognition as a true guitar hero. His song, “Dragonfly,” became an iconic piece of his repertoire. But it was his live performances that showcased his dexterity and fiery guitar solos.

Over the years, Frank Marino’s distinctive style and technical prowess have left an indelible mark on the world of rock music.
